We are very proud of our first product, the Hot Strokes® PHD™. The HotStrokes® PHD™ is designed for body workers including massage, occupational, and physical therapists. It also has applications for the medical community, particularly sonogram technicians.

Directions for Using Your HotStrokes® PHD™

1. Charge your battery pack overnight when using for the first time.

2. Pour your massage medium (lotion, oil, cream, or gel) into the bottle provided. Other massage medium bottles are acceptable if they:

   1. can easily fit into the warmer

   2. are made of HDPE plastic

   3. contain a pump

3. Warm your massage medium as you normally would for a "quick start" to get the most out of your battery pack. Otherwise, it may take up to 45 minutes to warm your massage medium in your holster, reducing your battery power.

   To warm a full 8-ounce bottle of lotion in the microwave

   1. Remove your pump.

   2. Place your bottle in the microwave in an upright position.

   3. Set the heating time between 45 to 55 seconds for a full bottle. Do not overheat your lotion. Heating time will be less for oils and more for creams.

   4. Use a towel or insulated cloth to remove your bottle from the microwave to avoid possible burns. Oils, creams and gels need varying heating times.

4. Attach your pump to your bottle.

5. Place your bottle in your warmer.

6. Place your battery pack in your battery bag.

7. Attach your battery wire to your warmer wire.

8. Turn your controller on and to your desired temperature. Turn your controller off between clients to conserve your battery pack.

For Best Results

1. Warm your massage medium prior to using your PHD™ to prolong battery usage.

2. Keep your bottle full.

3. Turn off your PHD™ between clients.

A Necessary List of Don't Do's

• Do not place any other objects into your warmer except for massage medium bottles (8 ounces or less) with pumps.

• Do not pour liquids into your warmer or holster.

• Do not remove your bottle from the warmer before your bottle has had time to cool.

• Do not disconnect your battery pack by pulling on the wires leading to the connector. Please pull apart the connection at the connectors only.

• Do not immerse your warmer in water or other liquids.

• Do not immerse your controller in water or other liquids.

• Do not immerse your battery pack in water or other liquids.

• Do not leave your battery pack in a hot car or in the sun.

How To Wash Your HotStrokes® PHD™

• Remove your warmer and controller from your PHD™ and unplug your battery wire.

• Remove your battery pack from your battery bag.

• Hand-wash your pouch, belt and battery bag with a degreasing detergent (i.e. Palmolive, Dawn, etc.) and cool water and hang dry out of direct sunlight.

Battery Care

Li-ion (lithium ion) and NiMH (nickel metal hydride) have no memory and can be charged for any length of time.

If you notice your battery pack is not lasting as long as usual follow these steps.

• fully recharge your battery pack

• Battery wire connector

• Ultimate or Classic battery chargers
