I am a practicing massage therapist in Dallas, Texas. During sessions, I noticed my lotion would cool after being heated in the microwave. In order to keep my lotion warm I needed something portable, comfortable and easy to use. I combined the best of both worlds, a stationary bottle warmer and holster, to create the HotStrokes® PHD™ (portable heating device). I started tinkering with the HotStrokes® PHD™ during the Fall of 2000.

This PHD™ is designed for any massage therapist, physical therapist or sonogram technician who wants to keep their client/patient comfortable. The warm massage medium (lotion, oil, cream or gel) is very soothing and helps keep your client/patient relaxed.

The HotStrokes® PHD™ is extremely easy and convenient to use. It is worn around your waist just like a regular holster. A 9.6 or 10.8-volt DC (direct current, the same as the human body) battery pack is the power source warming your massage medium from six to eight hours depending on the battery pack chosen. The PHD™ has a temperature sensitive controller to regulate heat and extend the duration of the battery pack.
